Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service carefully before placing an order. By submitting an order to Yellow Lab Imaging, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not place an order.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By submitting an order to Yellow Lab Imaging (“YLI”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), you (“Customer”) agree to these Terms of Service in their entirety. These terms constitute a binding agreement between you and Yellow Lab Imaging.

2. Order Acceptance

All orders are subject to acceptance by Yellow Lab Imaging. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our sole discretion, including but not limited to orders that contain illegal, offensive, or infringing content. Submission of an order does not guarantee fulfillment.

3. File Quality & Customer Responsibility

You are solely responsible for the quality and suitability of the files you submit. Yellow Lab Imaging will print the files as received. Specifically:

  • YLI prints from the files provided. We do not alter, crop, resize, or correct your images unless you have purchased color correction services.
  • If your files are low resolution, improperly sized, poorly exposed, or otherwise unsuitable for print, YLI is not responsible for the resulting print quality.
  • By placing an order without purchasing color correction, you acknowledge that you have reviewed your files and accept responsibility for their quality.

4. Color Correction & Color Accuracy

Professional photo printing involves color management and calibrated equipment. Please be aware of the following:

  • Colors as displayed on your monitor may differ from printed output due to differences in monitor calibration, color profiles, and the nature of print vs. digital display.
  • Color correction is available as an optional add-on service. If you decline color correction, YLI will print your files as submitted and will not be responsible for color accuracy.
  • If color correction is purchased, YLI will make reasonable professional adjustments. Color correction is not a guarantee of an exact match to your screen or any specific target.

5. Refund & Reprint Policy

5.1 Lab Errors

If Yellow Lab Imaging makes a clear, verifiable production error (such as printing the wrong image, incorrect size, or significant damage caused by our equipment), we will reprint the affected items at no charge or issue a store credit at our sole discretion.

5.2 Customer-Supplied File Issues

YLI does not issue refunds or reprints for quality issues resulting from customer-supplied files, including but not limited to:

  • Low resolution or pixelated images
  • Incorrect color, exposure, or white balance in the original file
  • Undesired cropping resulting from aspect ratio mismatch
  • Any issue that was present in the submitted file

5.3 Discretionary Reprints

All reprint and refund decisions are made at the sole discretion of Yellow Lab Imaging. We reserve the right to request photographic evidence of any alleged defect before authorizing a reprint or credit.

5.4 No Cash Refunds

Yellow Lab Imaging does not issue cash refunds. In cases where a remedy is warranted, we will offer a reprint or store credit as appropriate.

6. Shipping & Delivery

6.1 Free Shipping Threshold

Orders of $25.00 or more qualify for free standard shipping. Orders below $25.00 may be subject to a shipping charge.

6.2 Shipping Confirmation & Tracking

Once your order ships, you will receive a confirmation with a tracking number. It is your responsibility to monitor tracking and report any delivery issues promptly.

6.3 Carrier Delivery Confirmation

Yellow Lab Imaging is not responsible for packages once they have been accepted by the carrier and a delivery confirmation has been recorded. If the carrier’s tracking system shows a package as delivered, YLI considers the order fulfilled.

6.4 Lost or Undelivered Packages

If you believe your package has been lost in transit (no delivery confirmation recorded), please contact us within 14 days of the expected delivery date. We will work with the carrier to investigate. YLI reserves the right to file a carrier claim and await resolution before issuing any remedy. We will not replace or refund orders that carrier records show as delivered.

7. Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

By placing an order, you agree to contact Yellow Lab Imaging directly to resolve any concerns before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or credit card issuer.

If a chargeback is initiated without first contacting YLI, we reserve the right to:

  • Submit all order documentation, tracking records, and correspondence to the card issuer as evidence of fulfillment
  • Refuse future orders from the customer
  • Pursue recovery of disputed amounts plus any chargeback fees incurred

Yellow Lab Imaging maintains complete records of all orders, production, and shipments and will provide this documentation to financial institutions as needed.

8. Content & Copyright

By submitting files, you represent and warrant that:

  • You own the copyright to all images submitted, or have obtained all necessary permissions and licenses
  • The content does not infringe on the intellectual property rights of any third party
  • The content is not illegal, obscene, or otherwise prohibited by law

Yellow Lab Imaging reserves the right to refuse to print any content that we determine, in our sole discretion, to be infringing, illegal, or objectionable. YLI will not be held liable for any claims arising from content submitted by the customer.

9. Turnaround Time

Turnaround times vary by product and order volume. Estimated production times are provided as a general guideline and are not guaranteed. Yellow Lab Imaging will not be held liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to carrier delays, equipment issues, or high order volume periods.

Rush orders are not available for specialty products including canvas gallery wraps, mounted prints, and large-format metal prints. Please plan accordingly.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Yellow Lab Imaging’s total liability for any claim arising from an order shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific order in question. YLI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages.

11. Changes to These Terms

Yellow Lab Imaging reserves the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. The current version will always be available at this page. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any updated terms.

If you have questions about these terms or any order, please contact us directly. We are a small, owner-operated lab and we take every order and every customer seriously. We would always rather resolve a concern directly than through a third party.
