Photographs, film, and slides deteriorate over time. Colors fade, prints yellow, negatives scratch. The only way to preserve what is in those images — and make them shareable, printable, and safe from further damage — is to get them into a digital format while they are still in reasonable condition.
At Yellow Lab Imaging, we scan prints, 35mm negatives, slides, specialty film formats, and oversized artwork for customers across the country. Everything is handled by a single experienced technician — not a conveyor belt operation. You mail your originals to us, we scan them, deliver the digital files to you, and return everything safely.
We offer scanning at two quality levels, depending on what you need and what your budget allows.
Professional scans are individually handled, color-corrected, and optimized for the best possible result from each original. Each item is reviewed for density, color, and exposure, and adjustments are made by hand. This is the right choice when the originals matter — family portraits, wedding photos, irreplaceable negatives, artwork you want to reproduce accurately.
Batch scans are processed more efficiently using automated settings, which keeps costs low for large quantities. Color and exposure are set to a standard that works well across most images, but individual correction is not applied. This is the right choice when you have a large collection of everyday snapshots or film that you primarily want to digitize for sharing and archiving rather than archival-quality reproduction.
Photo prints — Any size up to 11x17. Larger prints and artwork are handled through our oversized copy shooting service.
35mm negatives and slides — Color and black and white. Negatives in strips or cut into individual frames.
Specialty film formats — 110, 126, 620, medium format (120/220), and large format negatives. These require different equipment than standard 35mm and are priced accordingly.
Oversized prints and artwork — For anything larger than 11x17, we use high-end camera capture rather than flatbed scanning to create accurate digital reproductions.
Scanned files are delivered to you online via WeTransfer (prepaid orders). If you prefer to receive your files on a USB drive, that option is available for an additional fee — either bring or send your own USB drive along with your materials, or we can supply a new one. Your original prints, negatives, and slides are returned with your order.
Contact us before you send anything. We do not accept unsolicited packages. We want to confirm your order details, discuss the right service level for your materials, and give you specific packing and shipping instructions before your originals are in transit. Old photographs and film are fragile — how they are packed for shipping matters, and the right approach varies depending on what you have.
Professional mail-in scanning services — available to customers nationwide.
In addition to our scanning services, Yellow Lab Imaging also offers photo restoration for damaged images and photo prints online if you would like reprints made from your restored or scanned files.

We scan and digitally correct your photo prints for color, brightness, and contrast — handled by expert technicians for true-to-original results.

Convert your 35mm negatives and slides into high-resolution digital files. We adjust exposure and tone for rich, accurate color reproduction.

We handle 110, 126, 620, medium format, and large format negatives with professional care. Every frame is reviewed for optimal density and clarity.
