Order premium 8x10 photo prints online with professional quality, fast turnaround, and personal service.
Yellow Lab Imaging makes it easy to order 8x10 photo prints online with the care and craftsmanship of a real photo lab. 8x10 is one of our top-selling sizes — right alongside 4x6 and 5x7 — and every print is produced on archival paper with archival inks, reviewed by hand before it ships, and delivered to your door from our studio in East Tennessee. If you are comparing sizes, you can browse our full photo prints online lineup to see every option side by side.
The 8x10 is the classic portrait and enlargement size — the print most people picture when they think of a "real" framed photograph. It is large enough to anchor a wall display or a gallery arrangement on its own, and it happens to match the most widely available pre-made frame size sold at any retailer, which makes it an easy, affordable size to display.
All 8x10 prints are available in both of our standard finishes:
Lustre is our default and most popular finish. It sits between matte and gloss — rich color and sharp detail without the high reflectivity and fingerprint issues of a full gloss surface. Lustre handles well, resists fingerprints, and looks professional in virtually any lighting. It is the right choice for most orders.
Metallic Pearl is a different material entirely. The paper has microscopic metallic flakes embedded in the base layer that give prints a luminous, almost backlit quality — colors appear to glow from within. Pearl works especially well for images with strong color, bold contrast, or highlights you want to make more dramatic. It has a high-gloss surface, so it is best displayed in frames or in rooms where you can manage light angle.
Both finishes are produced on archival paper with archival inks, rated to last 100+ years when framed under glass and kept away from moisture and direct sunlight.
Lustre prints: 3–4 business days
Pearl prints: 4–5 business days
All turnaround times are in business days, not calendar days. Orders ship nationwide from our studio in Maryville, Tennessee.
An 8x10 print has a 4:5 aspect ratio — not the same proportions as a 4x6 (2:3) or a 5x7 (5:7). Of the three, 8x10 actually requires the most cropping from a typical camera or smartphone image, since most sensors shoot closer to a 2:3 or 4:3 ratio. Our ordering system shows you the crop before you confirm, so you can adjust the framing to make sure nothing important gets cut off.
You will also sometimes see this size written as 10x8 instead of 8x10 — that just reflects the orientation of the image (portrait vs. landscape) rather than a different product. It is the same print either way.
4x6 prints: The everyday snapshot size. More affordable for large batches, but a step down in size and display presence from 8x10.
5x7 prints: The middle ground — smaller and more affordable than 8x10, but with less wall presence.
8x10 prints: The classic display and portrait size. The natural choice when a print needs to stand on its own, framed.
8x12 prints: A slightly larger enlargement at the same 2:3 ratio as a 4x6, for when you want even more wall space covered.
Yellow Lab Imaging is a small, owner-operated online photo lab. Every order is reviewed by a real person before it goes on the printer. If something looks off — a resolution issue, an unexpected crop, a color concern — we will reach out before printing rather than just running it and shipping something that will not look right. We do not automate quality control.
We ship to customers across the United States. Free shipping on orders of $25 or more.
8x10 photo prints are the classic portrait and enlargement size — ideal for framed wall display, school and yearbook portraits, wedding and family photos, and gifts that deserve real presence.
No. An 8x10 print has a 4:5 aspect ratio, which is different from both a 4x6 (2:3) and a 5x7 (5:7). An image cropped for either of those sizes will need a different crop to fill an 8x10 without borders. Our ordering system shows you the crop before you confirm.
Yes. 8x10 and 10x8 refer to the same print size, just written in a different order depending on whether the image is oriented vertically or horizontally.
