Order premium 5x7 photo prints online with professional quality, fast turnaround, and personal service.
Yellow Lab Imaging makes it easy to order 5x7 photo prints online with the care and craftsmanship of a real photo lab. 5x7 is one of our top-selling sizes — right behind 4x6 — and every print is produced on archival paper with archival inks, reviewed by hand before it ships, and delivered to your door from our studio in East Tennessee. If you are comparing sizes, you can browse our full photo prints online lineup to see every option side by side.
The 5x7 is one of the most requested print sizes we produce, and for good reason. It is large enough to hold real detail and stand on its own as a framed display print, but still compact and affordable enough to order in quantity for gifts, announcements, and albums. Along with 3x3 and 4x6, 5x7 is one of the sizes we have invested in dedicated steel rule cutting dies for — which means it moves through production quickly, even in large batches.
All 5x7 prints are available in both of our standard finishes:
Lustre is our default and most popular finish. It sits between matte and gloss — rich color and sharp detail without the high reflectivity and fingerprint issues of a full gloss surface. Lustre handles well, resists fingerprints, and looks professional in virtually any lighting. It is the right choice for most orders.
Metallic Pearl is a different material entirely. The paper has microscopic metallic flakes embedded in the base layer that give prints a luminous, almost backlit quality — colors appear to glow from within. Pearl works especially well for images with strong color, bold contrast, or highlights you want to make more dramatic. It has a high-gloss surface, so it is best displayed in frames or in rooms where you can manage light angle.
Both finishes are produced on archival paper with archival inks, rated to last 100+ years when framed under glass and kept away from moisture and direct sunlight.
Lustre prints: 3–4 business days
Pearl prints: 4–5 business days
All turnaround times are in business days, not calendar days. Orders ship nationwide from our studio in Maryville, Tennessee.
A 5x7 print has a 5:7 aspect ratio — not the same proportions as a 4x6 (2:3) or an 8x10 (4:5). That difference matters more than people expect: an image cropped perfectly for a 4x6 will not fill a 5x7 edge-to-edge without a slightly different crop, and the same goes for 8x10. Our ordering system shows you the crop before you confirm, so you can adjust the framing to make sure the parts of the image that matter most are not cut off.
You will also sometimes see this size written as 7x5 instead of 5x7 — that just reflects the orientation of the image (portrait vs. landscape) rather than a different product. It is the same print either way.
4x6 prints: The everyday snapshot size. More affordable for large batches, but a step down in size and display presence from 5x7.
5x7 prints: The step up from 4x6 — enough size to frame and display on its own, still easy to order in quantity.
8x10 prints: A step up in both size and aspect ratio (4:5). The classic portrait and enlargement size, and the most common pre-made frame size sold at retail.
8x12 prints: A larger enlargement for when you want a print to command real wall space.
3x3 prints: A compact square option for collages, memory boards, and projects where you want a lot of prints in a small footprint.
Yellow Lab Imaging is a small, owner-operated online photo lab. Every order is reviewed by a real person before it goes on the printer. If something looks off — a resolution issue, an unexpected crop, a color concern — we will reach out before printing rather than just running it and shipping something that will not look right. We do not automate quality control.
We ship to customers across the United States. Free shipping on orders of $25 or more.
5x7 photo prints are one of the most popular sizes for portraits, framed display, graduation and wedding announcements, and gifts. It is also one of the most common pre-made picture frame sizes sold at retail, which makes it an easy size to display without a custom frame.
Yes. 5x7 and 7x5 refer to the same print size, just written in a different order depending on whether the image is oriented vertically or horizontally.
Not exactly. A 5x7 print has a different aspect ratio (5:7) than a 4x6 print (2:3), so an image cropped perfectly for one size will need a slightly different crop for the other. Our ordering system shows you the crop before you confirm so you can adjust it.
